The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is the toughest of waterfowl retrievers. The breed was developed along the Eastern Shore to hunt waterfowl under the most adverse weather and water conditions. Males grow to between 65 to 80 pounds. Females grow to between 55 to 70 pounds. The Chesapeake is valued for its bright and happy disposition, intelligence, quiet good sense, and affectionate, active, loyal nature.  They are wonderful family dogs and make excellent companions.

About our Chesapeakes

Caroline Celtic Blitz is our female. She was born 10/06/2001. Her color is called deadgrass.  She has a tiny white spot on her chest. Please click on the "photo page" link at the left to see pictures of Caroline. 

Dakota Von Chewbacca is our male. He was born 8/19/2002. He is dark brown with a few white hairs on his chest. Champions in his bloodline include CH Bays Westwinds Ruger, DC AFC Westwind's Rudy of Nordias, and CH Chewbacca's Dakota Hosehead JH.  Please click on the "photo page" link at the left to see pictures of Dakota.

Both dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club.  Caroline's registration number is SN86738909.  Dakota's registration number is SN92160302. 

Puppies

Caroline is retired and will no longer be having puppies.  Caroline and Dakota will live out the remainder of their lives as our family pets.  Thank you to all of the people who have touched our lives with stories about pups we sold.  Keep those stories and photos coming.  We still enjoy hearing and seeing how the pups and full grown dogs are doing.  We may consider studding out Dakota.  Send an e-mail if this is something you may be interested in.
